A poem a week for 2012 - a record of a year in the life of...
Engelbert Humperdinck...
The Last Waltz...
The gulls are back in town, with Crazy Bells they croon.
singing out their 'soles', Dorsey soars toward the moon.
Releasing a million hopes; Another Time Another Place,
His childish fable name; An ancient legend grace
Is gripping country folks in Eurovision race.
In Baku theatre, perma-tanned and grasping stellar straws
We look to cliche, retro-style 'gainst giant ludic maws.
and search for lost simplicities through simple songful mores.
Our last song, our swan song seeks patriots' applause...
